Founded in 2003, Vue Cinemas is the third largest cinema chain in the UK. Currently owner of 87 cinemas in the United Kingdom, with over 840 screens, Vue Cinemas is a privately owned company that has developed a fully digital projection, cinema portfolio. Within the 87 cinema sites in the UK, there are 11 Extreme Screens, 7 Gold Class screens, 6 Scene Screens and Bars, and 3 IMAX screens.

In 2011, Vue opened their biggest cinema in the UK at the new Westfield Stratford City, breaking their own record which had previously been set when they opened at Westfield White City in 2010. They remain the first and third highest grossing cinemas in the country to this day.

Like it’s two biggest rivals Odeon and Cineworld, Vue Cinemas are found mostly on out of town retail and leisure parks. Every Vue cinema meets the highest standards of accessibility for disabled customers due to their locations and most offer either special screenings, 241 deals via Meercat Movies or special Super Saving Monday night discounts.
